Hello All,
I received the email below from our Swedish cousin, Titti Nilsson, regarding a very special spoon. Possibly someone has some information regarding this keepsake and can shed some light on its origin.
First let me try to explain to our family in the United States Titti Nilsson’s familial connection to the Lindskoogs. Christine “Titti” (Swernfeldt) Nilsson is married to Bengt-Eric Nilsson, she was born the first child of Britt (Lindskog) Swernfeldt & Bertil Swernfeldt, Britt (Lindskog) Swernfeldt was born the first child of Nils Anton Lindskog & Kelly Nordstrom, and Nilson Anton Lindskog was the only child born to Nils Lindskog (aka Lindskoog) & Ingrid Persson.
So now that we are all up to speed as to the connections & the proper greetings have taken place. Let us get back to this spoon. There is attached a photo of the spoon in hopes that someone can fill us all in about it.
COUSIN,Tedd
Dear Cousin Tedd,
Hope you are well in these corona times……I do not know what to say. I know your president has talked about the situation in Sweden (not true what he says!). What is true and sad is that the pandemic has spread among people in elderly homes and old people who have home assistance. 50% of the deceased in Sweden have lived in elderly homes and another 25% had home assistance. Very few people younger than 60 have died. I found this spoon among my father’s things after he died – my mother had died many years earlier to that. And I am curious about it I can read Chicago and Maconic Temple – do you (or maybe someone of the elder Lindskoogs) know if any of the old Lindskoog brothers was a member of Maconic Order? Could it have come to my Grandfather or his mother from any of the Lindskoogs that immigrated to America? Any idea?Take care – keep physical distance to other than your household – and wash your hands carefully. That are the advice we get here.Best regards,Cousin Titti Nilsson, Sweden
A friend saw my FB post and shared the following…
I saw your post about the spoon and it intrigued me,so I did a little searching. I am not part of the Lindskoog family, so I didn’t want to share there. You can share it if you want…first here is the Masonic Temple pictured on the spoon. It was torn down in 1939.

The spoon is a souvenir popular back then.
